Hello all,
we are testing different scenarios for delegations. One of our use cases is the following:
Person A is going on vacation for 4 weeks and delegates his tasks to person b. Within that 4 weeks person B gets sick and needs to delegate his tasks to person C.
We tested this scenario within the native delegation function in Workfront, but in that case when person B is delegating to person C, all the tasks that has been delegated from person A to person B still remain to person B and getting ignored in the second delegation.
This seems to be an unconsidered use case in Workfront. If someone has a solution for this we would be very thankful.
Thanks and best regards!

Hi @JannisW,
Thank you for your question! I can definitely see how this limitation can be problematic for your users. Unfortunately, the native delegation feature doesn't support delegation of delegated tasks.
Here are a few possible workarounds:
I would recommend submitting an idea to our innovation lab if you'd like to see this functionality available in the future of Workfront.
