Child Tasks - Misbehaving!

Ok I feel this should be a simple one but it's been driving me nuts off and on all day... i have projects and want to make tasks the children, or sub-tasks, of the task above it. But when i select them and click the Indent button.......they move Right, and then immediately move back Left! but then once in awhlie, it seems to work and I'm not seeing any discernable difference between tasks that will or won't indent. Any ideas?!?!

Hi, Adam, I have had similar occurrences and have found that a screen refresh usually corrects the position of the child task in relation to the other tasks. Hope this helps! Hi Adam, I've seen this too. When that happens to me I use the other way of moving them, which is to check the boxes of the tasks that need to move, drag them to the parent task and hover (without releasing the mouse click) until the box around the parent task lights up, then you let go of them and they move under the parent task.

I have a few users who had this issue but it was an issue with the predecessor. The first child had a predecessor of the parent they were trying to create. (They used chain to do predecessor). You can't make a task a child if its predecessor is the parent.
