I remember being able to edit the project's actual completion date in the past, but I can't seem to find a way to edit it now. The help article linked below says that you can do this through the Project Details tab. I also tried creating a project report showing the Actual Completion Date field and I wasn't able to edit it there as well. I am able to edit a task's and issue's actual completion date once they are closed, but not projects. We use reporting to tracking the total duration of projects. However, if a person forgets to close their project on time, we want to be able to set the completion date the correct date. Does anyone know a way to edit the project's actual completion date? https://experience.workfront.com/s/article/Understanding-the-Actual-Completion-Date-of-a-Project-432... the help guide says "Note: The latest Actual Completion Date from a project's tasks will be used as the Actual Completion Date for the entire project." ....so I'm wondering if you've tried changing the latest task actual completion date yet. -skye
The project's Actual Completion Date seems to only be determined by when the user marks the project as complete. I tried closing a project and then pushing out the furthest task to March, but the actual completion date stayed as today. I reversed the order (set the task to March and then closed the project) but the actual completion date was also today. Thank you for the suggestion! Unfortunately, that wasn't able to work Denver Lemont Cardinal Health
Recalculating the timeline didn't change the actual completion date :( I tried the same scenarios I described above but recalculating the timeline at the end and nothing changed. I remember in the past being able to edit the project's Actual Completion Date in the Edit Project window. It was next to the Planned Start Date and Planned Completion Date fields just like how they are when you edit a Task or Issue.

Oh! I was only updating the task's Planned Completion date instead of the task's Actual Completion. Skye, you were correct, whatever the furthest task's actual completion date = the project's actual completion date. Does anyone know if there is an easier way to edit the project's actual completion date? Ideally, I would like to be able to simply click Edit Project and change the actual completion date. Or be able to edit that field on a project report. Denver Lemont Cardinal Health
Well, huh. I don't recall ever seeing the Actual Completion Date exposed in that fashion, Denver. The closest I can think of to what you are describing is as below. Mind you, I'm still trying to remember how to type after a luxuriously long holiday break, so who knows what else I've forgotten... Regard, Doug
