Bulk approving hours

Hi,

Is there a way to bulk approve hours, like from a report? Right now to approve hours, the PMs are having to go into each individual project. Since we have a lot of projects it take a lot of time to do that so any ideas on how to make it easier are much appreciated.

    @Anna Welsh‚ - Are the PMs able to approve timesheets or do they each have to approve their own projects hours?

    Hi @Erica Foisy‚ PMs have to approve their own projects' hours. Our resources work across clients that are assigned to different PMs so unfortunately we can't just have the PMs approve specific people's timesheets since those timesheets are a mix of different client/project hours.

    We struggled with this as well and did not find an out of the box solution. What we did is create an internal "Approval App" that uses the API to solve deficiancies in WF such as:

    • Rejections need a reason
    • Move an entry to a different Project and/or Task
    • Get all hours that need approval (and are on closed timesheets)
    • Filter that list by User, Program, Company, Timeframe, Billability

    If you have an internal development team I would really go for this, total dev time was around 3-4 weeks.
