As a worker I want the actual start date of a task with the constraint of finish-start to bump to current time when I complete a predecessor task ahead of the planned schedule.
Given I finish my consultation call ahead of schedule, I want my next design task to fall within my standard SLA window of 10 days instead of sticking to the plan and still due 15 days from now despite the fact that I finished my consultation early.
This should be an option to turn on/off at the system level, knowing that not all schedules work this way. But this would reduce the PM time to manually move the start date of the next task to today to match the duration I originally intended despite the fact that I finished ahead of schedule.
