Document URL copy/paste grabs a specific version in "Standard" view

When sharing documents with team mates or clients, we typically want to share the link to the document details view (this ensure whoever receives the link always downloads the latest version).

In WF, the documents tab has 3 views: Thumbnail, Standard, and List.

By default, WF uses “Standard” when you click into the documents tab.

However, from this view, the document link actually points to a specific version of the document and not the details view. The other 2 views (Thumbnail, List) point to the “correct” link (i.e. version independent).

Can we request that they update the link destination in the standard view to be the same as how they link in Thumbnail and List? Otherwise we accidentally share a specific version of a document with clients via the links…which means that if someone updates the document, and the client only has the version link, they never see the updated file.

I’ve put this into the attached PPT to illustrate.
