Delegate tasks instead of approvals

It would be great if people can delegate their tasks during their time off as they can with approvals, so coverage is automatic.

‚The ability to delegate all tasks or projects is critical! Currently our project managers are going into EACH project and changing the assigned TASKS by PERSON to the person who needs covering, and then changing it back. This is unscalable! Our PMs manager over 60 projects and if they're gone for two days, switching back and forth is a hideous waste of time!

I agree, that allowing users to have the option to delegate tasks would be very helpful. I've had several users that have requested this recently. Since they already have the option to delegate approvals, I don't know why this isn't available. We've experienced the following scenarios:


- Sometimes users are assigned to a task that doesn't belong to them and/or their area of the business.

- They are overwhelmed with work and having the option to share some of the workload with their team members could prove helpful.

- Assigning a task to a subordinate could be used as a training opportunity so that the individual can learn how to do something new.


Overall, this option would provide Workfront users with a level of convenience verus them having to reach back out to the project owner.
