Collaborators' “My Updates” Tab

On the “collaborators” layout, there is a “My Updates” tab. Is there a way to do the following to appear?:

1. Allow for only updates to show here when the project is in “Planning” or “current” status. Then when the project is closed or “completed”, hide those updates pertaining to those closed projects.

2. Can we have a way to delete or a mark as “done” button to hide the updates that the user has already taken care of?
Reason: A lot of these updates are the project manager speaking to the requestor and asking them to do things or keeping them in the loop of things. I’m understanding the requestor to be using this feature as kind of like a “to do list” or an “inbox for their project updates. They would like it to act as such.
