Better calculations for late tasks

Currently the filter Task status > Late pulls in all tasks that are late, even if only a minute late. If the task has a due date of 7/19 at 9:00 AM and I complete at 9:10, it will be counted as late. This is an issue because we have reports that pull lists of late tasks by user, and we don't think it is accurate to count that task as late in that scenario, so our reports aren't very accurate. We want to be able to pull a report where late tasks are defined as over 24 hours late, basically completed the day after it was due or later. Please make a way to pull this into reports easily.

Yes, this is an issue for us as well. It would be very helpful if we could remove the time for project start dates as well as task and issue due dates.

Having the time field separate from the date and optional would be great. We just changed our project schedules and I had to manually change times on 1800 tasks, but could only do them in groups by start date....

I'll vote for making this easier (ease of use is always a good thing!), but for what it's worth, if you are only concerned with the due date of the task and not the time, I believe you can accomplish what you are looking for by using a filter with something along the lines of:


Task Planned Completion Date < $$TODAYe-1d


Plus whatever other metrics you wish to filter by :)
