What’s new in Adobe Workfront?
- Q3 2025 Release (July): Unified Approvals rolls out in phased deployment (starting mid-July), replacing legacy approvals with team-based workflows, templates, versioning, KPI tracking via Home widgets, and Canvas dashboard reporting. The Desktop Proofing Viewer is updated to v2.1.50 (tooling only), and GenStudio for Performance Marketing now integrates proofing, enabling review and final-approval workflows within Workfront. Improvements continue with Home: the “All Approvals” widget is now “Document Approval Metrics,” commenting mentions are enhanced, and report delivery is more secure. Minor interface refinements round out the release for a smoother user experience.
- Q4 2025 Release (Preview – October): Introducing the Multi-select External Lookup custom form field, allowing admins to pull multiple options from external APIs (e.g., Jira, Salesforce). The new Workfront AI Reviewer (beta) automatically scores image brand compliance and provides actionable feedback for faster approvals. Enhanced Adobe Express + Proofing integration enables deep collaboration through markups, e-signatures, audit logs, and multi-stage workflows. Home and requests receive usability boosts—redesigned My Requests widget, filterable unified request views, new formula functions (REMOVEACCENTS, REPLACEPATTERN, PASCAL), an “Advanced” button for assignments, and improved visibility into resource allocation with Workload Balancer and role assignments.
Submissions open: 2026 Adobe Experience Maker Awards.
