I'm trying to automate the lca deployment/configuration as much as possible as I need to deploy this to 5 seperate environments and those settings are always blown away. The deployment of our dsc's are fully automated with no human interaction, which is quite nice.Thanks Steve,Michael

Here's a bit of code that I'm hoping to add this logic to once I find where the setting exists:ConfigParameter[] configParameters = serviceConfiguration.getConfigParameters();ModifyServiceConfigurationInfo info = new ModifyServiceConfigurationInfo();info.setServiceId(serviceConfiguration.getServiceId());info.setMajorVersion(1);info.setRunAsConfiguration(ServiceConfiguration.RUN_AS_SYSTEM);serviceRegistry.modifyConfiguration(info);

Hello Steve,I appreciate the answer but I'm actually looking to change that actual setting as I want to turn off authentication all together for a couple of very specific services. In those scenarios I won't have a context at all.Thanks,Michael

Can anyone point me to where this value resides in the API? I can't seem to find it in the ServiceConfiguration, I also see no relavant options in ModifyServiceConfigurationInfo. I see m_anonymousAccess in the invoke Ooperation map but the value always seems to be null.Thanks,Michael

Is there any documentation about how to setup scheduled tasks in a component, or should I simply create my own quartz implementation?Thanks,Michael

If you run into this issue, you not only need to have your class in the DataTypes section of your component.xml, but you also need to have that package defined in the Export Packages of your RunTime section of your component.xml.http://michael.omnicypher.com/2011/09/if-youre-trying-to-use-custom-datatypes.html

Hello David,Do you ever find a resolution to this? My issue right now is that I can add a custom datatype as a process variable but am unable to create a new instance of it without calling out to my dsc which isn't ideal for security reasons.Thanks,Michael

This was most likely cause by entering the wrong host and port. To clarify, it wants the LiveCycle host/port, and not the host/port of your database.Hope this helps someone,Michael

You can also use the -incremental compiler flag and exclude running the locale or theme swf's if that's not something your changing. You should be able to compile the workspace source, build the ear, and deploy it to a server in about 20 seconds.Hope that helps,Michael

Hi Paul,Appreciate your response. Just so I'm clear, I should simply declare xml variables and import the Fiber model as it's schema. Is there any reason why you'd want to use actual Fiber-based variables in a process?Thanks again,Michael

Hi Paul,I have the xdp configured and ready to go. What activity should I use to merge my populated data model into the xdp that would return a pdf? importData, processFormSubmissions, generatePDFOutput, etc all take in a document for data, and I can't get the data model variable converted to a document successfully. I've very accustomed to using schema's/xml to do this, and am trying to determine what advantages Fiber Data Models provide outside of the pure Data Services arena.Appreciate your t...

I have an xdp that's wired to that data model, and I want to generate a pdf off of that xdp with the populated data model.

Hi Paul,FiberDataModelTest is simply a 'Data Model' that I just created for my application in workbench, similar to me creating MikesTest, Product, Cart, etc. From what I can tell, LiveCycle Data Models can't be cast to xml, which I find strange as they seem to be self aware of their own schema.Hope that helps clear up what I'm trying to do.Thanks again,Michael

Hi Paul,First off, thanks for your reply, but I should have been a bit more clear. I have a variable of type FiberDataModelTest in my process, and I'm trying to cast that variable to xml or a document so that I can push it into an activity that would render a pdf. I'm not seeing a way to cast that variable. Am I missing something obvious?Thanks again,Michael

Get XML from Data Model
Avatar

I'm using a Fiber Data Model as a variable in my process, and I'm ultimately trying to push this data into an xdp. When I record the process back, I'm able to view all of the data within it and it appears in an xml fashion. Converting this variable into a document simply dumps a ByteArray. So I'm curious, is it possible to easily convert the fml data into a usable object such as xml or a document that I can pass around to other activities?Thanks for your help,Michael

Hello Waseem,In the past this was caused by TaskItemRenderer not being included in their manifest.xml file that's part of the ilog-elixir.swc. I know they fixed this in one of their releases so you may want to ensure you have the latest and greatest.Hope this helps,Michael
