@Kautuk_shani and @om_vineet, I am not able to understand that how does this resolve the given use case?? If we keep the XF component locked on the template then the same XF will be used on all the brands and if we keep it unlocked then we have to author the XF path on all the pages. How can we solve this?

Below is the node/code which is responsible to fetch referenced assets. You may engage a developer to tweak this implementation to hide all assets or specific assets based on some business logic using overlay. If you plan to hide assets using permissions of author, that might become a performance intensive task --/libs/wcm/core/content/sites/publishpagewizard/jcr:content/body/items/form/items/wizard/items/publishstep/items/fixedColumns/items/fixedColumn1/items/references Alternatively, you may e...

I would raise this question with Adobe support, that's nothing the community here can solve. The only suggestion I have would be to play with the parameters and trying to simpliy the query. For me it seems that the Java Regexp machine is behaving strangely.Jörg

Our news system uses the normal page creation wizard, but removes the "name" field and adds an hidden input containing an numeric ID that is autogenerated--some random ID that is within the next 100 numbers of the last page. The randomness generally prevents collisions, which might occur if 2 users try to create stories at the same time, which would result in a "1" being appended to the end of the node name. But it's not 100% effective, and each time it happens the ID grows b an order of magnitu...

Test it upfront. And also be aware that at the time the index is replicated to the publishs, the publishs will start immediately with reindexing, which is typically a performance hit.You could also package the the index definition or work with EnsureOakIndex (ACS AEM Commons) to decouple deployment of the index definition with its application and the index rebuild.regards,Jörg

I'm stuck on a permissions issue.I have a folder for news stories, at /content/news/articles[year]/[month] that I need to be able to programmatically control access to. Each news page has an "author" property on the jcr:content node associated with a user, authors should only be able to edit their own stories. Each page has deny all for a group called "newsauthors" which all such "authors" are members of, but I need to add rights for authors (and a group of approvers). I need to be able to genera...

Hi Stockwell,The activity logs at each folder as "-" that means no change compared to content in package. Can you remove exclude filter and see replace works. In any case this looks bug for me. Please try with latest vault and package manager hotfix Or engage with official support channel. Thanks,

Or you can simply use Sling Mappings (reverse mapping) and ResourceResolver.map to achieve the same result.Regards,Daniel.

I have an almost similar issue with the list view in AEM 6.3 on /aem/products.html/etc/commerce/products page. The above changes work on site.html but for the products.html no changes work. Seems like it is using different template/path which I am unable to find.

Hi There is no rule as to how many breakpoints a page should have, but one should be added wherever the layout breaks. The aim is to make sure the design and content flows nicely regardless of the width of the viewport. See this article for a template '320 and Up' - by Andy Clarke, it's used by many developers and designers: http://www.stuffandnonsense.co.uk/blog/about/this_is_the_new_320_and_upIf you scroll down to the media queries section you'll see they use five CSS3 Media Query increments (...

When using Sling Models in Sightly - this is the way you do it. That is why the article was written - i will update Model article to state that. As B Stockwell points out - there is no advantage of using WCMUse when using Sling Models.

Kind of try to avoid Transformers as a rule of Thumb, it's fast, but hard to configure and sometime it can result in blank screen in case of any issue.. Why not use the core Sling/Servlet feature Filters[1], simply set with the high priority for the Servlet, so that request get's intercepted last. Then once the page is fully generated use lovely Jsoup[2] library to parse the output and change it accordingly to your needs.[1] https://sling.apache.org/documentation/the-sling-engine/filters.html[2] ...

I have an activation workflow with an or split that on the "don't activate" uses the participant chooser to let the initiator know (in their inbox) that their approver didn't activate the page. The user gets a message that "The story was not approved" in their inbox, but this is treated like an actionable step--I'd prefer if the user were unable to use the "Step back" option, and the workflow be terminated. Is there a way to trigger a notification to the initiator (or any given participant) with...

You can use the available thumbnail to render is as image(like /profile/photos/primary/image/jcr:content/dam:thumbnails/dam:thumbnail_48.png) or get the property jcr:data(at /home/users/geometrixx/carlene.j.avery@mailinator.com/profile/photos/primary/image/jcr:content) and convert that binary to your input stream.

There are couple of ways you can achieve this - 1. You can write custom injectors for injecting the page properties in your model. Examples are here - http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/sling/trunk/bundles/extensions/models/impl/src/main/java/org/apache/sling/models/impl/injectors/2. Instead of using the annotation based sling model you can use the old school approach for creating the model using the adaptor factory pattern. Check slide #5 in this deck - http://www.slideshare.net/AEMHub2014/sling-m...
