How to set channel value in analytics

I am new to Analytics, I want to set channel value to analytics through DTM.

Can anyone help me with the steps to achieve this.

What exactly do you mean by channel? Do you mean channel as in marketing channel reports (Channel Overview, First Touch Channel, Last Touch Channel)? or do you mean channel as in the s.channel variable the populate the Site Section report?
