We currently use an older at.js file and publish from website code base. We are using the Adobe WebSDK for our Analytics capture and plan to configure a Target datastream from Launch instead (is it called Adobe Tags now?) and remove the at.js file from our website code.
One of our engineers has asked what the new 'version of Target will be'. If we are always on the latest version of the Web SDK, does that mean that our Target version will also be the latest version of Target?

Hi @ValerieAnders,
Switching to Adobe WebSDK for Target will mean you no longer need to manage at.js directly in your codebase. With WebSDK, Adobe keeps Target up-to-date automatically, so you’ll always be using the latest version of Target’s capabilities without needing manual updates.
Also, if you already have a datastream configured for your site or application, you do not need to configure a new one just for Target. With one production data stream, you can configure multiple Adobe tools. This is the advantage of WebSDK. One consolidated library for all experience cloud and platform products.
I hope this helps.

@ValerieAnders in terms of At.js will be latest based as it would injected/flow through WEB SDK however consider below
- WEB SDK will be latest however there will be upgrade in WEB SDK extension so plan to upgrade as needed
- Launch Adobe Target extension also requires upgrade if used for data layer / event/ action
Please note upgrade is not must but consider based on the release notes
