DIfferent between target extension 1.x and 2.x

Can some help me with document on major difference between Target extension 1.x and 2.x . 

One I know is 2.x support SPA application and fire triggered views. can someone share other major difference between two ?

This documentation has a pretty good breakdown of the differences between 1.x and 2.x

But yes 2.x has a lot built around support for SPAs and most of the functionality and improvements relate to it.
