Automated Personlization - Conversion on number of products purchased

Avatar

I'm looking into using Automated Personalization to order the presentation of additional products in a list we have currently,

My current set-up has an Mbox fire on our confirmation page if a customer has included one of these products in their order. This makes my objective to increase the number of customers who have purchased a policy with products, but does not tell me value.

Due to the nature of my business, I can't use revenue as the main policy premium is not something I can influence.

Is there a way to mark a success as an increase in the number of additional products per sale? Or better yet, fire a custom Analytics event to tell me whether they're in a targeted or non targeted experience so I can use that

I've actually created my own work around now.

Using response tokens within Target I'm able to tell if the customer was in a control or targeted experience. I'm going to send this variable to Analytics and use that to help determine financial uplift.

Our financials are complicated and usually require us extracting quote references to calculate commission in the backend

Thanks for your help though!

@SamMa10 it seems you are trying to mix two use cases automated personalization and revenue analytics, I suggest firing a custom Analytics event , and for the personalization case  it seems to be more of a recommendation use case where you are planning to recommend additional product

Sounds like you might be right. We don't know what the recommended product would be which is why I was looking to use AP to understand this for us.

Are you aware of a way to fire a custom Analytics event from within an AP which will alert whether the users was in a targeted experience or a control? It's the identification of experience I'm unsure on

suggest revisiting your use case once,  Analytics event would fire at your experience and how you design then not at AP  @SamMa10
