I am trying to test a use case for AC-AT integration around dynamic email content based on OS type, Browser type etc.
AC Classic is used as the email delivery engine, AT is being used as the Experience targeting engine.
For test, the email is very simple, just an image block which should be dynamically rendered based on which device the user opens the email. To make it even more simple, just testing with web email (not any specific email client)
Configured the integration between AC Classic and AT and no issues with that.
Implemented Offers, Audiences and Activities in AT for this use case
Scenario 1 (based on Browser Type)
Created audiences in AT to pick all users who are using say Chrome and Firefox
Created offers specific to Chrome and Firefox
Created the Activity to implement the 2 experiences, one for Chrome users and another for Firefox users
When the user opens the email (web mail) the offer image is rendered according to the browser in use
Scenario 2 (based on OS Type)
Created audiences in AT to pick all users who are using say Android and iOS. AT has the feature to create rules based on Mobile device and OS used
Created offers specific to Android and iOS
Created the Activity to implement the 2 experiences, one for Android users and another for iOS users
When the user opens the email (web mail) the offer image is rendered is the default image and not specific to the OS type
Wondering if someone has tried such use case based on OS type. Seems like AT gives the feature to build rules based on OS type but somehow the email content is not rendered.
Does this work only for web content? is this a limitation with email content?
