After setting the data source for an A/B Test from Production to either Staging or Development, have that selection stick and not keep resetting to Production when you come back to the reporting.
April release is coming up with a feature called Reporting Presets. This will allow you to save up 10 presets or reporting configurations. This will include all the filters you apply i.e. Metrics, Audience, Date Range and all the settings in the settings gear which includes the environment.
