Can you use 'entity'.category' as a field in recs design?

We are currently passing data to a field called “category” in the Data Catalogue of Target. The field is being populated properly with values however when we try to consume the data to define a value in the design we are building for a recommendations activity, no value is showing up. Is this a known limitation?

@michaelt24493243 Have you created a feed and is the data already ingested in Recommendations?

You can create a criteria on the 'Current Category', the recommendation is determined by the product category that the visitor is currently viewing.

Recommendations display items in the specified product category.

Hi michaelt24492388​!

Per Entity attributes​, categoryId supports multi value attributes- which could make entity.categoryId not desirable to be returned in designs (think formatting etc).
