Hello Everyone! I am Naman Satiya, and I handle Testing and Optimization analysis in MarTech org for Barclays US. Originally from India, I currently reside near Philadelphia, US.

This is the first time (in my current role) I'm interacting with Adobe group of products, and I'm super excited to explore them! I've been primarily working on setting up tests and utilizing A4T for analysis. Now I'm curious to dive deeper into implementation principles and exploring more complex functionalities of Target. And what better way to start than this mentorship program!

Hi Gokul & Everyone on the thread,

My Name is Ravi, I have been working with Adobe Target for a couple of years now. I am based out of Chicago and work for a pharmaceutical client, with focus primarily on content rotation and improving site engagement leveraging adobe Target. As part of these discussions I would like to learn more about Profile Scripts and how to expand on the profile scripts feature when implementations switch to webSDK and to learn more about first touch personalizations. Looking forward to interacting with all, and exchange ideas over the next few weeks.

Cheers!!

Hello!

Now that we are in the collaboration phase of the program, I was curious about the format - regarding toolkits, mock test options, weekly quizzes, etc.

@Gokul_Agiwal: Would you be able to share more info on what we can expect in the coming weeks?

Thank you!

Hello Aspirants,

Here is the first quiz for Week1

There is requirement to compare two different experience on a page, and then traffic will be redirected to the winner.

Which type of A/B activity can be used to meet this requirement?

  1. Manual A/B Test
  2. Auto-Target
  3. Auto-Allocate

Reply your answers here with explanation if possible.

3. Auto-Allocate

Auto-Allocate compares two (or more) different experiences until they they reach statistical significance, then starts redirecting majority of new traffic to the winning experience - thus satisfying our requirements.

However, in real life, I would check for some nuances:

  1. Auto-Allocate requires medium-to-high volume for its Algorithm to be efficient. We need to make sure the page is getting the required volume.
  2. If deep statistical analysis is needed to "compare two different experience on a page", Auto-Allocate may not be a good option since it keeps changing the %split.

In such scenarios, Manual A/B Test can be used.

@NamanSa Yes, Auto Allocate is the right one and nice to have the explanation.

Remember, the most engaged aspirants will receive the Adobe Swag.
