Hi,

I have installed LiveCycle ES4 SP1 on Redhat linux, and whole install & config process goes smoothly, however, when I try to hit url http://HOST:PORT/pdfgui

I get following error, which mention that pdf service is not deployed. Please refer image below, while installed I did choose (in 'Modules' page of installer) PDF Generator ES4. Please update how to check whether PDF generator is installed or not, or this error is due to some other underlying issue, also how to remedy this.

Check the about page in adminui : http://host:port/adminui Does it show PDF Generator ? You can also check whether it exists in adminui under services.

Thanks,

Hi,

The adminui page image is attached, Clicking on 'Services' -> 'Applications & Services', bring me to another page with 5 links

Application Management
Category Management
Endpoint Management
Service Management
Preferences
Please could you elaborate where you want me to look at.

Go through the instructions again. If you click on About, it would give you the list of modules installed. Also if you click on services it should also have "LiveCycle PDF Genereator"(ignore Applications & Services )

On bank (office) laptop, there are chrome and IE (above versions) allowed. If there is any known issue of Adobe LC ES4 SP1 on these browser version, then a request to any other specific browser version can be raised, but unlikely going to get any further. Please update how to troubleshoot this.

Thanks

Hi,

I have run LCM again selecting only PDF Generator ES4 on 'Modules' page, and finally been able to install it, after installing 32bit java on linux machine and seeting JAVA_HOME_32 variable on env. Now under 'Services', I can see 'PDF Generator', so thats good news. However I have seen few errors while starting WebSphere JVM, and looks like application is trying to access google, but due to firewall restrictions that fails, do we need this in app, how to disable this

Configure these timeouts : Adobe LiveCycle ES4 * 9.3 Configuring WebSphere time-out settings

Make sure all the pre-requisite are there, as mentioned here : Adobe LiveCycle ES4 * 3.2 System requirements

Specially 32-bit libraries : Adobe LiveCycle ES4 * 3.2 System requirements

Thanks,

I have increased Websphere timeouts but earlier reported org.apache.http.conn.ConnectTimeoutException are still appearing while start WAS application server. The google website is not reachable from Linux VM so these error messages are quite obvious, please can you update how to remove reference to these from application

This has been fixed in later releases. You can ignore that.
