Query regarding Livecycle Designer ES2 .. Dropdown made in the Master page resets itself

I made a form in Livecycle Designer ES2.

In master page i had one dropdown menu  based on which  few hiding / unhiding / readonly etc. were done on the Main form................everything works fine....except that... when i chose any value in the dropdown menu  the all the actions takes place correctly but the dropdown menu resets itself to default value....

Any idea why does this happens.......... or is it that we cannot put a dynamic dropbox in Master page.......
