maintain column width when hiding other columns

I have not been able to find an answer to this in any current post, so please direct me accordingly if this has already been covered.

I have a form created in Adobe LiveCycle ES4.  The main portion is an expandable table that starts with 100 lines, but can be reduced.  There is a decimal field that has a running total, including a subtotal on each page.  The table itself has 11 columns, but once it is complete, it needs to be sent to another office that only wants to see 4 of the columns.  I have figured out how to hide the other columns, but when they are hidden, the remaining columns slide over and are made to be the same width as the original first 4 columns.  These columns are all narrower than the columns that we want to keep showing.  Is there a way to maintain the original width of the columns?

Any information than anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.
