Livecycle ES 4 - Web Forms - "Partial Save"

Avatar

Level 2

Hello Livecycle community ,

We are considering buying several modules of Livecycle ES4, however some elements remain unclear to us:

- Using the HTML5 form features of Livecycle, can you provide the forms to the users through the Form Portal and let them partially save the document? The form would need to be completed by several different people (collaborative work)...

- What are the limitation of the Form Portal? Can we completly customize it (add custom modules for instance)?

- The Rights Management module: can it be used in 3rd party applications (J2EE based) and act as a security DB ?

Thanks a lot for your help

Answer:  You could submit the data and have it routed to another user(s) for completion using the LiveCycle Process Management capability.

Answer:  Are you using Adobe Experience Manager (CQ) for your web front end?  It's a componenet that's added to the web page as you would any other and you can place any additional modules you desire on the page.  Underlying the component is a series of REST calls.

- The Rights Management module: can it be used in 3rd party applications (J2EE based) and act as a security DB ?

Answer:  The question is a little vague but if I understand correctly, yes Rights Management can be used in conjunction with other applications assuming you're using Adobe Reader or Acrobat to view the document.  There are APIs that can be used to apply a policy to document from an application (and remove/manage a policy)
