Killing user sessions?

Hi,

Since i have been using anonymous presence to keep the amount of traffic down in the room. I see that if someone crashes or closes their browser window. the roster is not updated. im guessing that its just waiting and timing people out.

Is there a way to speed up the time out period or should I have the roster ping the user collection every 5 min or so?

I guess I could use server to server scripts but then I have to explain to other developers how to get it to work.

Or maybe im making way too much work for my self and should turn anonymous presence off. Im just worried about crashing a room.
