Form not saving data in listbox multiple selection on Reader 9

Level 5

Hello all,

I've noticed a very strange behavior in my form.

I have a list box multiple selection, bound to a Schema. After I apply the usage rights using Reader Extensions, open using Reader 9, save it and open again, the form doesn't keep the previous selection and the field stays empty.

Any ideas why is that?

The strange point is, when opening the form, selecting multiple options in this field and then click CLOSE, the Reader doesn't ask to save the form before closing, as is hasn't happened any changes on it.

I appreciate any help.

Please find below the Form and Schema.*3uxpylw

Not sure how you are Reader Extending the PDF ( Acrobat or LiveCycle ), but the form you posted was not extended for saving data.

I used Acrobat X Pro to extend the form, and it works as desired in Reader.

Hi Mark, thanks for the quick reply.

I missed that one. See below the form extended using LiveCycle.*627QR5bs8peIamhchEoA

I noted when I select multiple options, save and close it works fine. When you select one option, it doesn't.

I used the same Schema.

This might be a Reader Version issue.

Your Extended form worked as expected for me - both single and multiple values.

I am currently using Reader X.

I have seen other issues with various R9 versions, and was usually able to overcome them within R9 by getting a later version/build.

Good Luck
