Dropdown Objects

Is there a way to get the dropdown objects to open by the user clicking into the object itself (not using the button)?

You can tab to the field, and use the down/up arrows to roll through the list items.  I don't know of a way to get the list to expand on screen w/o the mouse-click

Inside the dropdown, hit and hold "ALT" and then the down arrow.

Thank you for your replies. What they are asking me to create is a drop-down that will open just by cliking into the object without cliking the button. It sounds like that is not an option. Thank you
