Customize the size of barcode on livecycle form

Hi,

We are planning to implement barcodes for the existing print forms. Unfortunately, we dont have much space on the form design to accomodate the barcode field. but we see a lot of space available on the left margin of the form where we can keep the barcode field.

Can I customize the barcode object on form with just 1 inch widh? I have enough space to increase the height of it. When I tried to reduce the width, it gives a message popup like it cannot accomodate data with less width? Any alternate solutions for this problem are highly appreciated.

Thanks,

krishna

If you do have space in a margin then you can do a 90 degree rotation of your barcode and move it into the empty space.  In regards to the message you are getting about insufficient space, I would simply ignore this and test the form yourself with a number of data combinations.  Make sure you've selected the tab delimited format and not XML to maximize your capacity.

If you have problems rotating the form, move your barcode to the center of the form, then rotate it, and then move it to the right location.  You also will probably not be able to us the mouse to resize the barcode object.  For the best results, modify the size and coordinates manually.
