Creating a flowable form

Good day all;

This just has to be my lucky week. As some of you might have figured out, I am quite new at using designer……. Anyway, with the help of the people on this forum, I was able to complete a form that got some good reviews. And then it happened. (like it always does). I was asked if I could make the form “flow” or get rid of the “white space”?

I have read some of the documentation on this form and have got a few tips, but not been able to get the form to flow. This is what I have done.

Created a new Adobe 8 Dynamic XML form

Added 2 text boxes plus a checkbox (checkbox is used to unhide a subform)

Created a sub form (named manager)

Added 2 text boxes (in a table so they would line up)

Set manage sub form presence= hidden, content=flowed

Created a new sub form (named continue)

Added 2 text boxes

Set new sub form presence=visible, content=positioned.

I ran the form in Adobe Reader 9, The “continue” sub form did not move into the white space created by the “hidden” Clicked the check box and the manager sub form became visual but nothing moved around.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you post your form to have a look at it..

Steps to upload the document

1) goto acrobat.com website
2) login with your Adobe login/password.
3) In Actions you will find Upload. Select your form and upload.
4) After uploading, select form name in All Files section and right click and select share.
5) Check the checkbox "Allow anyone with a link to view this document".
6) Copy the URL link and post it in the forum.

You did not set the Parent subform to Flowed.

Second one is in your code you are setting the presence to "invisible". You should change it to 'hidden" to remove the white space.
