Using remote JMX as a data source

Avatar

Level 1
I am interested in creating some visualization of running
systems, using Flex to visualize updating JMX information coming
from some other network-attached JVM. I saw one post which
suggested writing some custom Java that would connect to the JMX
info on another JVM, and then reformat/retransmit this information
as JMS messages, which Flex could "subscribe" to.

I'm looking for a simpler, more direct way to do this - is
there one? Ideally, one which does not require anything other than
the local Flex application running in a browser, and the remote JVM
(Unmodified) that is providing JMX information...

Thanks. -Marshall
