Tabbing with Tables

I have created an interactive (fillable) PDF application form, but when I walk through the tabbing order in Design View, it skips over my table completely. And, if I manually try to click my mouse in any of the table cells I'm not able to. Can anyone explain why my table is inaccessible and how to fix this?
