Submit Email Button does not work in Adobe Reader

Hi all,

I created a pdf form in Adobe Lifecycle design. This form functions properly in Adobe Professional and the "button" to submit the form by email as a pdf works correctly. Sadly, most people in the office only have Adobe Reader. While they are able to enter text into the text fields, they are not able to send the form by email in Reader. When they press the button to submit the form via email, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you are trying to submit in PDF form. Use XML.

I'm curious how submitting as XML would work in Reader as opposed to a PDF?

The information that is submitted is an XML file with all of the

information the user filled in. This can be processed by other

programs, or imported back into the same PDF.

AAndi,

Sorry, I didn't word that clearly. Your solution was to Whitney was to change the submit from PDF to XML. I was curious how that would help? I must be missing something.

That would help specifically because Reader is designed to NOT submit

PDF from a normal PDF, and IS designed to submit XML. This is a

commercial decision by Adobe.

Hi Whitney,

To submit form by Reader you have to reader-enable it in Acrobat or Reader Extension. If you haven't enabled form try to do it in Acrobat - distribute form in menu.

Hope that helps!
