Manipulate data in a text file?

Hello,



is there another way to manipulate(read and write) data in a text file besides import/export of XMLdata? I just need a confirmation if it is possible or not. I'm pretty sure that there is no other way, but anyway...

thanks for the tip, however I had already a look at that and was not able to identify any Acrobat JavaScript functionality that works with simple text files.
