Can anyone tell me what needs to be done for an Adobe Livecycle form to work in Adobe Reader on a MAC?

No changes need to be made. The XFA engine exists on all modern desktop versions of Adobe Acrobat/Reader.
Thank you for the response. Any thoughts on why a form with calculations may not function properly on a MAC?
