How to know the target XFA Version of a form with JavaScript

Avatar

Not applicable
I need to know, at runtime, the target XFA Version of the current form. This is the corresponding xfa version to the Adobe Reader Target Version one chooses in the Form Properties dialog.

I notice that what one puts in that "Target Version" drop down,

is reflected in the PI:

originalXFAVersion http://www.xfa.org/schema/xfa-template/2.5/

but I think PIs ar inaccessible in script.

I have a blog entry that discussed target version and original version. It also has a sample that shows how you can extract these versions from a form at runtime.
