How to hide or make field readonly dynamically through JavaScript

Hi,

I want to hide or make fields readonly dynamically ....means what I want to achieve is ....I have 10 fields on form and out of which some users are allowed to fill only 7 fields and rest of the field should act as readyonly.



I will be passing list of fields that need to be made hidden or readonly on runtime.



Can anyone provide me help on javascript which will accept arguments as field name. The field name wont be SOM expression type just field name.

are you using LiveCycle to render the form - are you opening the form in workspace?

Yes I'm using Livecycle ES to render the form ...user will be launching Adode Form from Custom Web Application
