Global Variables

How can I create global variables? can these variables retain their values upon the save of the PDF?

I guess I could make invisible objects? But would they have to have the databinded?

Under the File/Form Properties menu there is a variables tab. You can enter global variables there. Note that to get the contents of the variable you must use variablename.value
