formatting numeric field dynmically

Hi,



I am designing a dynamic pdf in livecycle 8. I am able to set the display pattern for numeric fields where there are corresponding XMl fields.I have some fields which display calculations based on these values.



The maximum i can format the numeric field using the object tab is $z,zz9.99 . This fields works fine if the value is 9234.56 it displays $9,234.56.

But when it is 11356.987868 it doesn't format it. Is there a way i can format it dynamically before displaying using javascript??

Can anyone give a suggestion please?

You can add z to the expression to indicate the number of digits that you will have.
