I am using Live Cycle Designer 8 -
I have created a flowable XFA form that pre-populates by reading an XML data file. XML Data is loading and fields are visible- Now I would like to format some of the display data ........
It turns out that if I modify display pattern for a text field - the validation method is also automatically invoked - and - well - I don't want to enforce any sort of validation - just format the display of the data....
but whenever I use a display pattern - it automatically fails a "non-existent" validation (since i am not entering one... but it is reporting a failure for every field ... for the every field that has a display pattern..
Is this a known bug/issue - or is there a way to make sure that this doesn't occur ?
