Component interdependent

I would like to get more info on how component(s) can be used such that they are interdependent so that it is easy to maintain and also reusable?

I would also like this information. The custom component information at http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm?... is sometimes incorrect and incomplete and doesn't really cover this etiher.
