Changing Password of Workspace

Hi



I have a very simple and basic question. I am an Administrator of my

server and I want to provide a specific user with change password

(workspace) facility.



I did not find anything related to change password. How would my users

change their passwords if they want? Will they frequently bug me

(administrator) to change their passwords on their behalves?

Hi,

There is no out of the box feature in workspace. You can customize the Workspace to provide this funcitonality.

Do you or anyone has the customization code? As I am new to Livecycle as well as Flex so do not know how to provide that facility.

Typically LiveCycle integrates with an existing Identity Management System or LDAP and authenticates users against that external system. We do support locally created and managed users and you can change those passwords through the LC Admin UI. However if you are using LDAP etc then you need to manage users' passwords with that system.

We have an Active Directory but being a user, what if I do not want to merge the users of ALC with my existing AD?

In this case, can't we provide a very basic functionality of changing passwords to our users on their own?
