ES4 : LCD ver 11.0.0 and Acrobat DC, - installed on Windows 7 last month updated today.
JS console enabled in Acrobat.
I an unable to get the console to display on preview of the xdp. I've tried  console.show(), even putting in syntax errors will not coax the console to show.
There is the briefest of flashes, as though it starts and immediately stops.

Ctrl-J on Acrobat shows a console, but it's not associated with the xdp I am previewing.

If I publish the xdp and open it in Acrobat, the console works fine, but is too time consuming to be considered a solution.
Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

Solved this myself.
The problem was that I had code on an initialize event that caused the console to crash or at least not open.
The problematic code was ....

console.show();

New issue to this version, because I have been using it for years?
