back up of components

hi



i'm using livecycle 8.0

i've developed a couple of custom components (jars) and i'd like to backup the installed versions before installing newer version . I know i can create lca archives, but i'd like to physically copy the jars separately from the process. I've searched the adminui - Archive management but cannot find any option to do this. I'm using jboss as server, where are stored the loaded custom components jar?

You could create an LCA. The LCA would contain your custom component. Then you could use WinZip to open the LCA and extract the component from there.

Take a look in the adobe-livecycle-jboss.ear-contents folder that is currently deployed in your environment.



For example, on my turnkey JBoss LiveCycle 8.2 install, the ear contents are currently deployed at



C:\Adobe\LiveCycle8.2\jboss\server\all\tmp\deploy\tmp34412adobe-livecycle-jboss.ear-contents
