For example, version 1.4 of the PDF specification in 2001 introduced the concept of a tagged PDF, enabling users of assistive technologies to present document content to users without vision. Tagged PDF also enabled other accessibility features in PDF viewers including text reflowing to allow users to increase text size without needing to scroll horizontally.
