Hello There,

Hope you are doing well.

Adobe has recently change their Streaming Segment evaluation ruleset, There are few changes then what it was earlier, and probably that is the reason it is not able to getting you save with the streaming segment.

In your condition, as you have mentioned "for the segment is Event type name equals Itemurchased."

here in that case you should put timeframe "in last 24 hours". Beyond 24 hours it will let you make streaming segment.

Any new or edited segment definitions that match the following rulesets will no longer be evaluated using streaming or edge segmentation. Instead, they will be evaluated using batch segmentation.

  • A single event with a time window longer than 24 hours
    • Activate an audience with all profiles that viewed a webpage in last 3 days.
  • A single event with no time window
    • Activate an audience with all profiles that viewed a webpage.

For more ruleset understanding you can follow the Updated Adobe Product Document: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/segmentation/methods/streaming-segmen...

@hrya  - There is a recent change on steaming segment evaluation. A single event with no time window will not be eligible for streaming segmentation, in your case it is single event with no timeframe mentioned. So it wont allow you to evaluate as streaming. I would suggest mention timeframe less than 24 hours along with “Active on Edge” merge policy (Event type name equals Itempurchased less than 24 hours).
Make sure to the “Active on Edge” merge policy selection on segment creation in order to eligible for the streaming segmentation. This is also one of the point that has been added on the May 2025 release.

Thank you,
