Only Batch Audience Type is available in AEP

Hi everyone,

When trying to create an audience in Experience Platform, only the Batch type is allowed, but not Streaming or Edge. Why would this happen?

I think it was an issue with AEP because when I tried again, it allowed me to select the audience type. Anyway, thank you very much for the quick response.

Hi @dparraa 

The data that you are using within your attributes of the segment, are only allowed for Batch Evaluation. For example, using multi-entity segmentation only allows for Batch Evaluation, as seen here Multi-entity Segmentation Overview | Adobe Experience Platform.

Hi David,

It seems it was an issue with AEP that initially didn’t allow me to select the audience type. Upon retrying, I noticed that the email attribute I’m using for the audience is now working correctly. Thank you for sharing the documentation it’s exactly what I need to better understand audience concepts and be prepared in case a similar issue arises in the future.
