FridayFinding | 7 | RTCDP and destinations

Hello Finders,

Hope you are having a funfilled Thanksgiving. I am grateful for keeping up the pace and growing together in this learning journey.

Today we are going to look at most important aspect Real-time Customer Data Platform (Real-time CDP).  Real-time CDP includes tools for data governance, identity management, advanced segmentation, and data science so that you can build profiles and define audiences, as well as derive rich insights while being able to enforce strict data governance policies.

Read the complete guide to RT CDP.

Destinations are pre-built integrations with destination platforms that allow for the seamless activation of data from Adobe Experience Platform. You can use destinations to activate your known and unknown data for cross-channel marketing campaigns, email campaigns, targeted advertising, and many other use cases.

Read the complete guide to destinations.

Let’s relate all of them in “what to do”

  1. Build the customer profile.
  2. Personalize the user experience.
  3. Use multiple data sources.
  4. Configure a data source.
  5. Collect the data for a specific customer.
  6. Set up segments.
  7. Set up destinations.
  8. Stitch the profile across devices.
  9. Analyze the profile.

Following metrics could be seen in RT CDP

The leaderboard shows the number of datasets, profiles, segments, and destinations in the system.

The Datasets counter shows the number of datasets in the system and the amount of data in Platform. This counter is updated when a dataset is created.

The Profiles count shows the total number of people with profiles in the Real-time Customer Profile. It does not include profile fragments. This is your total addressable audience.

Segments shows the total number of segments created for the organization. This number is updated when new segments are created.

Destinations shows the total number of destinations created for the organization. This number is updated when new destinations are created.

The Recent segments metric card shows the five most recent segments created within the organization. This list is updated when a new segment is created.

The Recent destinations metric card shows the five most recent destinations created within the organization. This list is updated when a new destination is created.
