Workflow models in code base

Hi,

We have several workflow models persisted in a code base. And after every deploy there version is increased.

I don't think it is good, because the workflow model is not changed, but the new version is created. 

Is there an option not to increase workflow model version after every deploy?

Is it a good idea to keep workflow models in code base?

When you say after every deploy - i am not sure what you mean. Do you mean when you deploy your models on a new AEM version?

I mean after every build. Same AEM version, same server.

I believe this is just default AEM functionality that cannot be configured. However - i am double checking with Eng.
