White image canvas in interactive media component

Avatar

Hi everyone, I'm working with the Interactive Media (image) component in AEM Dynamic Media, and I've run into an issue I can't quite solve. I'm trying to display an image and manually entering the height and width in the dialog. Everything works fine until I increase the height and width values beyond a certain point. When the dimensions are slightly larger, the image simply does not load. Instead, I get a blank white canvas with no error message or indication of what went wrong. Would appreciate any help, thank you!

Hi,

The main reason could be your "Reply Image Size Limit" config in Dynamic Media, increase the ratio of the attribute. You should be able to do it through DM

  • Log in to your Dynamic Media (Scene7) Publishing System.
  • Navigate to: Setup → Application Setup → Publish Setup → Image Server → Reply Image Size Limit.
  • Increase the limit. The current default is often 2000×2000, but some accounts may show 5000×5000
  • Save your configuration.
  • Clear caches and republish your asset.

PS: The max limit of ration suggested by Adobe is 5000×5000.

Thanks,

Yes. Along with this, DM do act differently for heavier images at times (even though documentation doesn't highlight image size limitation). So do try to re-size and optimize the image prior uploading and processing the image. I have seen instances of 2 different of same size where one works and other don't.

Hope this helps!
