While adding the metadata node to the Image component I am facing the following issue during the build of Image component's content.xml

Can anyone please suggest on how to resolve it ?

But this could be the issue,

Please check if u have 

xmlns:granite="http://www.adobe.com/jcr/granite/1.0"

in the jcr:root tag of content.xml.

This defines the namespaces for the XML file.

for eg: jcr:root tag should be 

<jcr:root xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" xmlns:jcr="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0"
xmlns:nt="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/nt/1.0" xmlns:cq="http://www.day.com/jcr/cq/1.0"
xmlns:granite="http://www.adobe.com/jcr/granite/1.0"
